Correct diagnosis and repair of 98 'Volvo S70 GLT?
Hi Forum. I am new to car repair and could use a few their advice. I have a 1998 Volvo S70 GLT, and recently I had the car repaired for a heater core leak. the mechanic said it was too late, a day after when I said that cars check engine light was flashing and the car had overheated. ran the engine codes, and told me to 1) relay / problem with fuel pump 2) 1,2,3-cylinder misfire and catalyst damage 3) of water in oil. Now said the repair would cost about $ 1500, but insisted that he sell the car. I LOVE THIS CAR, and prefer to fix on my own. I have access to VOLVO VADIS 2005, if that helps anyone to help me. My question is how I can diagnose and fix the problems mentioned above. Regularly start the car, car units, but over time posts, and loses power. Take about 6 hours for the car to gain power and start again, so I'm guessing that the alternator is yet? Thanks for your time Ben
You are Volvo expects stuck where you will be. You love your car, you enjoy driving it, but the background is a piece of garbage due to poor quality of the parts used in construction of the vehicle. Finally took a step back from a distance, looked at my '98 S70, he realized that he had paid more to keep you on the road than he had paid for it new, drove him to a scrap yard and sold it. My portfolio has thanked me a thousand times, and never will own another Volvo.
